There are alot of good sites out there. Just do a google for aquatic plants. I personally like aquabotinics.com. Some one gave me a link to an auction like site but I have it save to my work PC and have been gone for sometime.

I`ve never gotten plants from them but merely the fact that they`ve opened up a facility in Canada impresses me. www.aquariumplants.com

OK. Thank you, I will check out those references. I was a bit hesitant to order online for plants I can not see when the plants I can see in my LFS are decaying. I hope I explained that right. Any more suggestions experiences even places to stay away from are much appreciated.

I like the site Brad mentioned. I have ordered from them a few times, they have good service and I like the fact that the main facility is in SD which isn't too far, shippingwise, from me. That's cool they opened a canadian facility! I didn't know that.

I called those guys on Friday. I was going to place an order but there were issues with shipping. They sounded great, were very friendly, honest and had a great selection. I will be placing my order there within the next two weeks and will comeback with my comments. Thanks for the tip.

I had excellent success with http://www.azgardens.com The plants came in the middle of the winter in excellent shape. All of the plants were growing very quickly after being introduced into the aquarium.

I purchased a madagascar lace plant bulb that was supposed to take about a week to sprout, but it had a leaf up in 3 days, with it growing to a full plant by about a week and a half.

The package I bought was this one (with the lace plant a-la-cart): http://www.azgardens.com/habitats_easy.php

OK. I placed an order with AZGardens. I read their website and thought I understood their shipping process. Well someone(who knows who it was...FEDEX reports the sender as anonymous because the person didnt leave a name or email) sent me a ship confirmation for 2nd day air, which is really going to take 5 days.....I am just hoping that isnt my live plants. I sent an email explaining this mystery ship confirmation I received, asking if this was my live plant order....well no response....so a day later I called and left a message during business hours.....no response.

I am yet to hear anything from them, if my plants arent available or if they even shipped. I placed the order last week and used their recommended shipping method, which is next day air. Im trying to hold my tongue here and restrain from any unnecessary bashing. I just want to report back with my experience.

OK. I am going to hold off posting my personal opinion of AZGardens. Along with any more negative details about my experience. I will just state that I will not be buying anything there again.

I will try out aquariumplants.com, hopefully things work out with them. Until next time.....

flyingfish, unfortunately you`re not the only one who feels that way, which I why I was asking in another thread why I was getting credit for referring them. I wouldn`t refer them.

Their shipping costs are nuts, their service is worse, and if you try to talk to them, everything is your fault. Some people have ever had threats to be sued for slander if they go public.

I was lucky to get away with my payment back, as I have plenty of experience working for companies with the ''screw this town and move to Bangkok'' mentality. Their reputation is catching up to them.

flying fish--

aquabid is a pretty good place to buy plants. Just have an idea of what you want or you can be overwhelmed. Before you bid look at peoples feed back. You can get some pretty darn good package deals there. If you decide to go the aquabid route let me know and I will tell you the people I have bought from and been happy with.
The following statement is true. The previous statement was false.

I ordered a few years ago from aquariumplant.com (notice, no "s" at the end.) They did a great job, and sent me plants much larger than I was expecting. In one case they sent the wrong plant, but re-sent more as soon as I called, and told me to keep the "wrong" ones free of charge.

I really liked the fact that I could just click on "low-light plants" and find everything that would work in my tank quickly . . .

Fr. Ted: You know the phrase 'to take care of something'? Well, I realise now that you meant that in a sort of Al Pacino way. . . Whereas I was thinking more along the lines of Julie Andrews. . .

OK ....well. I have an update.
I received a reply from AZGardens! They took responsibility for my problems and are taking steps to correct the situation. The fix is in the works now and I will report back with how things end up.

I think it is fair to judge them on the overall outcome so I will have to take back my previous comment, I didnt expect a reply from them.

Celt, Thanks for the suggestion. I will eventually try out all these vendors at one time or another reporting back with my own personal reviews.

This just in.....
WOW! I said things were going better with AZGardens right? Well how this for service? They resolved my issue and didnt ask anything of me. It is really easy to make a mistake but really hard to correct one. They have done a wonderful job resolving the problems I had experienced. I was given an explanation and everything ended well.

For the record AZGardens has not threatened to sue me. LOL. My story is real and I am sticking to it. LOL AGAIN.

AZGardens the long and short of it:
This is a online source for plants that has a decent selection and helpful website with pictures. If you plan on ordering from AZGardens be patient, make sure you understand the shipping process. Dont expect a extremely quick shipment immediatly, I cant really fault them for this and understand(that wasnt my problem). The plants I ended up with are very decent. I WILL keep my eye on AZGardens plant stock in the future. Things cleared up and ended very well.

OK.

What is the difference between these two sites:

www.aquariumplant.com (no "s")
www.aquariumplants.com

Is one better than the other? Any experience with both of these sites for sake of comparison?
