A couple of the new live plants I recently bought included one I had never heard of that PetSmart had labelled as "acorus." When I searched for a few different types of acorus, none of it looked like my plant. Could a plant expert help?
The plant I have has what looks like a tap root for it's primary root system. It has long, stiff, straight grass-like blades that are bi-colored (half a whitish pastel green and half a medium-light green). It is not particularly bushy (at this time) and is about 15 inches tall.
Any ideas? What is popular isn't always right, and what is right isn't always popular!
it is a bog plant. it will die off in a submerged environment. Nice looking--just not really for an aquarium."I usually read the obituaries first. There is always the happy chance that one of them will make my day." -- Richard Ames
