I am running the filter off my 20 gallon in the new 35 along with the new filter. Both are aqua clears, one is the 150 and the other one is the 200. Would it be any benefit to run both these filters all the time instead of taking the 150 off after a while?

So it would be beneficial to run both filters then...ok I will leave the 150 on with the 200.:-)
Oh also with the new aquaclear 200 there is a product that is called Biomax filter insert, suppose to be a place for the good bacteria to live? Replace every 3 months....do I need this?

They are ideal biological media. Dont throw them out. Rinse the bag of them every 30 days or so in tankwater from a water change to rid them of any debris.

I use the AquaClear more as a mechanical filter with sponges and then rely on the biowheel filter for biological.

I love the AQ's ease of cleaning and no replacement parts. I too run two on my 29 so that I have "10 times" the water flow exchange. I also can use one to start up a new tank. Having a "seeded filter" ready to go! I put extra "biomax" packs in the filter for the same reason.
