I know, I know, "always research fish before you bring them home"....but this was just such a cool fish I couldn't pass it up! It was labeled as a "South American Bumblebee Catfish", and said to grow to 4" in length. Any forseeable problems?

I have a 20 gallon high tank with bloodfin tetras, panda cory catfish, ghost shrimp, harlequin rasboras. I do 25-50% weekly water changes (depending on how lazy I am that week, usually I do 50%). Luckily, my first impulse buy was from PetsMart, so I have two weeks to bring it back if there are any problems!

Looks like he'll fit in well, and what a cute fish.

I've never seen one get to 4", but if it did, keep in mind it is a catfish and will eat any fish, shrimp or snails it can fit in its mouth. The only other problem I see is that a 20H has a small footprint and the bottom of yours is getting pretty crowded.

PETsMART does not have a 2-week guarantee for your satisfaction with the fish, about the only "problem" they will take it back for is if it dies in that time.

So will he get large enough to eat all of my other fish?

Planet catfish says they only get to a little over 2", I think Cindy was saying that she's never seen one as big as 4" so it would probably be smaller than that.
He might eat your ghost shrimp, but i think everyone else should be fine.

Woohoo! I can keep him! Now for a name...

As for the ghost shrimp, *shrug* oh well. 30 cents apiece, if I feel so inclined I can buy a few more larger ones.
