I recently bought some huge Amano algae eating shrimp. 3" long, thats twice as big as my other ones.

I'll get some pictures posted soon.

I'll be honest...I'm skeptical that they were labelled correctly. Would love to be wrong about it though....

Okay - I humble myself.
The Amano shrimp are 1.5 inch in length.
Huge when I compare them with the shrimp I already have.

Here is the Picture I promist.

I've read they get up to 2", but my largest is barely over an inch and I've had them for nearly a year...

mine is about 1.5, and they molt every 3 weeks....I have had them about 7-8 months

I have to correct myself, I do have one large female that is every bit of 1 1/2 inches, maybe a bit over. She is always loaded with eggs, I see her infrequently, but have never seen her without a full load.

I'm going to try to hatch and raise some Amano shrimp the next time I see a female with eggs. I read an article and think it would be fun to try.
