Anyone have experience with spotted mandarins. Hoping someone can help me identify the sex of this specimen. To me, it seems that its first dorsal ray is elongated, but i'm not sure. Possibly an immature male, or female. I'd like to pair them off, but want to avoid pairing of same sex to avoid fighting.green mandarin

Sorry, can't help you out there. Mandarins are difficult to sex. The dorsal ray isn't a foolproof method, and you'd need comparitive specimines to attempt a guess.

That is one of the fish I would like to have in the Mini-reef I am starting up.
