Hi all, I am going to be gone at the end of the month for
4 days. Can you tell me if the timed release food cubes,
found at fish stores, are any good?

If you are sure it is only 4 days and your fish are healthy
and well taken care of you can really expect them to survive
without food. The food cubes obviously work, but tend to
pollute your tank with lots of food waste(kind of like
overfeeding your fish). If you are really concerned
invest in an automatic fish feeder. I have four of them
and they work great if you feed flake to your fish.Petwarehouse.com
has lots of models for sale. Locally you should be able
to find the cheaper $25 (? approx)model.

I wouldn't bother with either. If you are only going
to be gone for 4 days, they will be fine. I would be more
worried of a power outage and suggest that you find someone
to check on things while you are away if that is possible.
