Jeez, Rob, I am not sure. Puffers are definitely brackish
and they can also turn into little snots as they get older.
Maybe Joyce will have a clue or two, and she will probably
be on in the morning.

What about some glassfish (if you can get the unpainted
(untourtured) kind). They are schooling fish
and a probably tough enough to stand up to 'snotty'
puffers. I reckon really well-kept, UNPAINTED glassfish
look fantastic I don't know why people paint them -
I think they look fake and horrible Also there are archerfish,
monos and scats, but they might get too big. I'm not
really sure though. Oh, and bumblebee gobies would be good
too. They're pretty tough but they're very small
so I don't know if the puffers would eat them. I don't
really know much about puffers though.

BB gobies might work as they really stick pretty much to
the bottom of the tank. Scats get very large and also school
so you need a huge tank to keep them. Puffers might bother
the mono. You could try a few molly they are brackish and
are probably feisty enough to withstand any puffer harrasment.
Don't get the long finned variety or the may get chewed
a bit. I had a painted glass fish that lost his paint and
lived about 4 years. He was also pretty much a bully with
my other tetra, the only problem may be finding adults as
the smaller ones may attract hungry puffers. Puffers aren't
really good community fish, so you may have some problems.
I really think someone on another board though had some
gobys with hers.

yOu should try some gouramis, thes are very beutiful. or
if you are interested in aggresive fish maybe 2 oscars.
or 2 angels (angels aren't as agressive but they
get big and pretty) But the gouramis are very nice.

Len angels and oscars do not do well in a brackish aquarium.
I know you are trying to be helpful, but this tank has figure
eight puffers which are aggressive fish that live in salty
water. You have to be very careful what you put in a tank
with puffers. Brackish water fish are gobies, scats, monos,
mollies, chromides and some puffers(I may have missed
a few) . Please research these fish if you ever think
about buying them.
