Medication: Tetracycline tablets
I had pop-eye in my betta fish. It was extremely advanced. The side of the fish turned red and several white spots developed under the extruding white eye. The tablets did nothing and he seemed to get worse. I switched to a powder tetracycline and there was immediate relief in site.... I will use powder form for extreme cases in the future, it seems to work faster. The other possibility is that the tablets were old from the pet store and the capsules(which I bought at a specialty fish store) were very fresh.....I will keep this in mind with any medication in the future.....
