25 & 50 Ultimate Gravel Vac Kits

Ultimate Gravel Vac

No more carrying pails of water to and from your aquarium! The Ultimate Gravel Vac is a complete clean, drain and fill kit that connects directly to your sink faucet. It allows you to automatically begin siphoning by simply turning on your sink faucet once connected. Next, begin cleaning by inserting the Fish-Saver Cleaning Claw into the aquarium gravel and moving it from side to side or front to rear. In addition, you have complete control of the water flow during cleaning and refilling of your aquarium. By adjusting the water flow during cleaning, you are able to insure that the maximum amount of dirt is removed with the minimum amount of water. The Ultimate Gravel Vac Kit comes with either 25 of hose (# 11570) or 50 of hose (# 11571).

Stinks. Hard to get the attachment set up and impossible to get the suction going for the vacuum. It won't connect to my water purifier to fill the tank so it blows the whole point of not having to use a bucket to fill (and treat the water first before going into the tank and fish). It is also a hassle to store and unravel. A waste of money.

I have to totally disagree with the previous review of this product. I was able to attach the 50 foot hose to my outside faucet with ease, and siphon all the water out of my 50 gallon aquarium in about 20 minutes. After I had moved my aquarium, by basically twisting a dial, I was able to refill my aquarium. No leaks, and flawless operation. I do agree storage is inconvenient, but worth it.

I agree with the first review. I hooked this up to my kitchen sink and was unable to get anything in terms of applicable suction to be able to "clean" the tank. Sure if I just want to drain it, it would work and refill.> But I can do that job with 50 ft of hose.
