hobbyist aquarium photos, freshwater and saltwater fish tank set ups

This is my new 300 ltr community tank which replaces the one I posted on here early in 2007. I have learned so much since my early attempts at fishkeeping with help from such sites as this one.

300 litre
Fish kept:
20 Cardinal tetra
7 Angelfish
4 Glass catfish
1 Molly
6 Wagtail Platy( 4 babies)
2 Bristlenose catfish
5 Amano shrimp.
Plants:
2 large amazon swords
1 small amazon sword
1 java fern
1 large anubais

The tank is filtered with a 1200ltr/hr canister filter with a small internal in assistance. I have 2 nutrafin CO2 units in place to aid plant growth.

Colin's tank

I bought this Juwel 15 gal tank off a friend for £30 as he upgraded to a larger tank. I have always liked tropical fish as my grandad used to own them and thought I would give it a try. I will upgrade to a larger tank once I get used to the basics of fish keeping.

3 Balloon Mollies
2 Bristlenose catfish( 1 albino

3 real
one plastic.

The tank is about 1 month old and is still cycling.I change the water as instructed and check my p.h levels every other day while the tank is maturing.
The filter system is the standard juwel one which serves the tank very well.
