I was looking through some information online and found many good yet dated information on this shop. Under the advise of a Badman's member, I checked it out today. The folks that work there are one big happy family who each one of them know their strengths (topics) and refer you accordingly. Of course their fish were healthy but nothing struck me as unusual as far as species go, but I have access to many odd ball varieties. I was mostly interested in the plant selection and was no let down. After just a few moments of speaking with Peter (I think the owner) I had the distinct impression that this guy loves what he does and knows his stuff. The staff had one by one greeted each patron who entered and although was not bothering anyone, was eager to provide 110% customer service. A great store, although maybe a bit dated. If I lived closer I would frequent the store regularly.

Outstanding! The selection is phenomenal. A very large store with many species of fish in all categories, goldfish, tropicals, cichlids,marine etc. (Puppies are well cared for too. They are kept in large glass rooms with tons of shredded paper instead of individual cages where they have to stand on wire all day.) Fish are healthy and well labeled. Staff is knowledgeable, not too many plants but they had riccia! I'm so happy that I go to college in the area or I never would have the opportunity to visit the store.

They have a nice selection of fish but I will not buy there again. I bought three percula clowns there and they all died within three days of coming home. I brought them in and the owner informed me that they don't guarantee their fish for "one minute after they leave the store." Any decent salt water shop will guarantee their fish for a day or two at least.

I recently bought a few fish there and they seem to know their stuff. They also were aware of some diseases that were present in some of their tanks and forbid anyone to buy those fish (someone else had a previous issue with their diseases). I would recommend them and will go back. Huge assortment of tanks and decorations!

To tell the true the fish there are very nice good to buy and they last a long,long time. I really like all the pets there I am a bird lover I really love birds. I like all kinds of birds they are nice little pets and make good pets.

The product selection for various types of pets is not bad. I have gotten many items there for my dogs, birds, fish, and hermit crabs. They also have a nice selection of Hikari fish foods. The actual live animal section is rather deplorable. Birds seem in decent condition but perches are covered with poop and they use sandpaper perch covers which is a definite no no. Hermit crabs are always dead or dying. Small animals seem OK. Fish are just terrible. Overcrowded, poor labels, mix goldfish and tropical fish together, many many dead fish, mix incompatible fish together, and they sell fish from ich infested tanks (and they're all ich infested as the whole filtration system services all the tanks) and do not put up any signs or warnings that the fish are sick. All in all, good for supplies, terrible for animals.
