Petcare is a large, stereotypical chain store. The sale people have little or no idea about the fish (or other exotic animals they condemn to an early grave, like birds), and most of them can not net them without hurting it. I remember one instance, one sales man nearly squashed a beautiful sunburst platy while trying to net it. Live platys do not get care they deserve, as well. To boot, the staff is curt and disrespectful. Finally, even though they are a large chain store, most of their items are intolerably overpriced.

All types of fish, staff is of the highest quality. Their prices are slightly higher but their fish are always healthy and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Evelyns Pets carries fresh and salt water fish,aquariums and supplies. I have always had good results buying from Evelyns and she is very helpful if I have a problem.

A nice, clean store. It has a great selection of fish, but also has other animals, like reptiles, birds, and rabbits. The staff was super-helpful and gave me lots of useful information. The prices were, in most cases, better than the major retail chains like PetCo.

Extremely clean store with a helpful, friendly staff. I've been a customer for over 20 years, it's one of the best stores I have been in. Fresh and marine fish, reptiles, birds, small mammals, as well as food and supplies for all.

This is an impressive fish store (alongside a specialty "lizard" store) that has over 10,000 gallons of fresh and saltwater tanks. The tanks are always pristine with a wide variety of fish for sale. All of the staff are extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. They carry refrigerated Bio Spira along with other frozen and refrigerated foods. Their ray pond is very nice - if you come at the right time, you may get to see the rays eat live goldfish from the hand of a store staff member. They also house their male bettas in small FILTERED tanks! The only downside is that they tend to get very busy in the evening hours, making it sometimes hard to get the attention of the store staff.

A very cute little pet store with a friendly staff. They only carry fresh water fish, but admitted that since they just opened finances are tight. They were willing to answer questions and were real sweet to my kids. There fish were healthy, and there ferret was a doll.
