You are completely right about this store, I have been in there several times in their old location and the service was good, now they have moved and upgraded to a more pleasing visual store, the service is non existent and the people are abrupt and rude when you do eventually get help. I am very disappointed.

The store appears to have been recently refurbished or remodeled. The "showroom" contains several very nice, big displays and a wide selection of fresh and saltwater fish for sale, plus accessories. There are also a few reptiles and so forth. Tank labeling is confusing, and sometimes unreliable. General layout and my impression of the store's interior is very favorable. My experience with The Aquarium has been hit-and-miss. The first visit was pleasant and rewarding, although the store employees seemed no more educated about the fish than those typically found at the big super-retail chains that also have a small fish section. The second visit (less than two weeks later) was quite disappointing. Most of the freshwater stock had either been sold off or had perished (you never know): About half of the freshwater tanks were empty. I noticed parasites on the silver hatchets. The store was understaffed such that we (my family and I) were never approached by a single employee for assistance - in spite of the moderate customer presence. After a thirty minute wait, we left empty-handed.

"The Aquarium" is a nice little Marine Fish Store in Sandy Utah, After my Aquarium Cycled I Purchased A Copper Banded Butterfly Fish It's Been A week and is doing well. I also Bought a Tank Raised Clown he is doing good also. They do have a okay selection of fish and bring in different species every other week so you could go one week and then the next and they'll have different fish to choose from. The tanks are very clean and they don't keep the aquariums crowded with fish. They also guarantee saltwater fish for 24 hrs."Bird World & Pet Village" Does Not...

Their fish never look that healthy - and in fact, I have seen several very sick ones left in the tank with the good ones. The one fish I did buy from there introduced a disease to my tank.

Freshwater and saltwater fish carried, a huge variety, but most of the staff are not very helpful, and while some of the fish are very reasonable, some are incredibly expensive. They also sell dyed fish which peeves me off, and they don't speak to customers about tank and fish sizes.

Simply the best in Utah! They have excellent fish conditions, very knowledgeable people, and a great selection. I've never found one better!

This store is also been called Fish r Us. I love this store!! I have been going to them for years now!1 The help will stay with you answering all your questions with a very knowledgeable staff!! They will wait on you until you are completely satisfied with your purchases! Fairly small store but the one on one you get is far superior to other stores where the help can't wait to just get rid of you!! This store seems to be very ethical in that they will discourage you from buying fish that won't fair well in your aquarium until it is established. Not like other stores that don't even ask if you have a saltwater aquarium. Highly recommended!!

Have been to this store many times and even sold some of our baby clowns that we are raising from our breeding clowns. Went to sell some of our discus and the owner(husband) was VERY rude to me like I was expecting favors because of the clownfish. He went back on what I was originally told they would do for the discus. They even charged me to keep the fish there while they tried to sell them after they told me that they had purchased them from me and then they changed their mind not to sell them. After dropped off fish and they gave me a price for them when I went to get my credit they changed their policy(week or so later after I dropped of the fish) and said they would only give me less than half of original agreed price. I have been very pleased before but the rudeness from the owner(his wife was very nice when my wife talked to her about this) was unforgivable. I will NOT go back nor sell my clownfish there. I will NEVER recommend anyone to go there also. There is more to this story but this is the short version. I am sorry for this bad review but HE(the owner) brought this upon himself.
