Kissing Gourami

Common Name: Kissing Gourami
Size: 12 in (30 cm)
Note: Should not be considered a beginners aquarium fish, young are always seen for sale and caution should taken before purchasing. It is unfair to subject any animal to less than ideal living conditions.
Habitat: ASIA: Stream and rivers in Thailand; Borneo, Java and Sumatra.
Min Tank Size: At least 55 gallons for young, much larger for mature specimens.
Diet: Herbivorous, but will eat flake, frozen and some live. Supplement with algae wafers or discs.
Behavior: Becomes aggressive with size.
Water: Temperature of 72°F to 82°F (22°-28° C) ,pH range: 6.0– 8.0; dH range: 5 - 19.
Care: Easy.
Communities: Should be kept by themselves or very large cichlids and catfish.
Suitability: Poor, grows to large for most home aquaria.
