Size: 2 and 3/4 inches (7-8 cm)
Habitat: SOUTH AMERICA: Paraná and Uruguay River basins.
Min Tank Size: 25 Long minimum.
Diet: Omnivorous: Wide range of foods accepted, preferably live.
Behavior: Peaceful shoalers, when large can get aggressive. Appetite for plants.
Water: Water Chemistry not critical, 62 -82°F (17 – 28°C) pH 5.5-7.0 dH range: 5 - 20
Care: Oxygenation level must be high, with large, rugged plants.
Communities: OK, must be kept in schools, if alone can be rather aggressive.
Suitability: Intermediate
