Habitat: SOUTH AMERICA: Amazon and Orinoco River Basins.
Min Tank Size: 30 gallon.
Diet: Omnivorous: Prefers algae and plant matter will accept Flakes, Frozen and live foods.
Behavior: Peaceful, Keep singularly or more than 6 due to inter-species aggression.
Water: 73 -82°F (23– 28°C) Soft to medium hard, dh range 2-18, pH : 5.8 - 7.5
Care: Easy after acclimation.
Communities: Good, may nip slower moving fish. Keep with medium to larger species.
Suitability: Good for well established tanks.
