Common Name: Flying fox
Size: Up to 6 inches (15 cm)
Min Tank Size: 30 Gallon.
Habitat: Southeast Asia: Borneo, Java, Sumatra, in fast-flowing streams and rivers in the foothill areas.
Diet: Omvivorous, Algae, vegetable flakes, vegetables, spinach, lettuce, tablets, oatmeal, live, planarias, Tubifex , crustaceans, aquatic insets.
Behavior: If kept in small groups, territorial disputes quickly arise. Peaceful towards dissimilar species, the flying fox is recommended as an algae eater for a community tank.
Water: Temperature 73-81°F (22-27°C), pH 6-7.5 (6.5), 2-12 dH (6).
Care: Easy.
Communities: The flying fox is recommended as an algae eater for a community tank.
