Common Name: Chipokae
Size: Up to 5 inches (12 cm)
Habitat: AFRICA: Endemic to Lake Malawi. Occurs in Chipoka (southwest arm of Lake Malawi)
Min Tank Size: 55 gallon or larger.
Diet: Mostly herbivorous, will accept most prepared foods. include some plant material.
Behavior: Very agressive.
Water: 78 - 82°F (25-28°C);pH range: 7.3 8.5; dH range: 7 - 18
Care: Medium (due to aggression). Malawi Cichlids deteriorate under poor water conditions so frequent partial water changes are a must.
Communities: Bad, introduce after other fish.
Suitability: Some experience needed.
