Size: Up to 2.4 inches (6.1 cm)
Habitat: SOUTH AMERICA: Amazon River basin: Near Belem, Brazil and Rio Madre de Dios basin, Peru.
Min Tank Size: 30 gallons (113.56 liters) or larger
Diet: Onnivorous, Algae tablets and sinking pellets. Live or frozen artemia, bloodworms, brine shrimp, daphnia, and mosquito larvae.
Behavior: Peaceful and social with other large fish, will eat small fish.
Water: Temperature of 75°F to 78°F (24°-26° C) , pH range: 6.0 7.2; dH range: 1 - 10
Care: Moderate, can adapt to most conditions.
Communities: Excellent among peaceful, similarly-sized fish, in schools of at least 3 of its kind or within a community with Corydoras. May eat smaller fish or nip fins.
Suitability: Some Experience Required with consideration for its size and requirements.
